Denise Gilbert was first introduced into property management at an early age and while in high school, she worked for her father, Steve N. Jordan. Mr. Jordan developed 18 affordable (FHA_CHFA financed), apartment projects in Northern California and Nevada, and in 1972, he established Jordan Management Company (JMC). Denise began as a bookkeeper apprentice under the tutelage of the company’s full time accounting staff. Ms. Gilbert took an immediate interest in the company and was desirous of learning all aspects of property management.

She resided at a complex as an on-site manager for two years and functioned in every aspect of management including processing new applications, collecting rents, maintenance, cleaning apartments, etc. Later, Denise relocated and became the Project Based Bookkeeper.

In 1999, Denise was promoted to President of Jordan Management Company and has now acquired full ownership of the company. JMC has an accumulation of over 120 years of property management experience. Denise is also the Managing General Partner for numerous real estate partnerships and has been the liaison between clients and their attorneys assisting with estate planning and the filing of Form 706 for clients with real estate portfolios.

Denise is extremely mindful of the requirements placed on each property by their Regulatory Agreements and meticulous to detail and reporting requirements. Her education in accounting is beneficial in negotiations with clients.

Denise’s commitment to Jordan Management begins with a great respect for her staff and a strong loyalty to her clients. Several staff members that have been with the company for over 30 years, as well as on-site managers and maintenance personnel who have joined JMC over 20 years ago. This is a solid indicator that her commitment and respect works together. Together JMC manages each and every property as it was their own real estate asset.
