Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities include performing general maintenance tasks including work orders and unit turns, maintaining the grounds, common areas, and laundry rooms. The position reports to the maintenance supervisor or community manager.

 

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Performs maintenance projects and tasks with minimal supervision consistent with Company policy and direction from Maintenance Supervisor, Community Manager and/or Regional Manager
  • Assists with administration of maintenance functions; for example, ordering and tracking of inventory, keeping up maintenance logs, completion of work orders, etc.
  • Ability to respond to on-call emergencies in a timely manner
  • Must have the ability to interact effectively with residents, peers, and management with a personable and customer-service enthusiasm
  • Knowledge in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, masonry, and appliance repairs & installation
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Demonstrates initiative, professionalism, and integrity
  • Exercises confidentiality in all areas of performance

Minimum requirements:

  • Current or prior experience as a service technician in multifamily preferred
  • Must possess a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
  • Proof of auto insurance and reliable transportation
  • English language proficiency (read, speak & write)
  • Ability to pass a full background and drug screening
